Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare disease often involving the hypothalamo-pituitary axis. Extreme obesity is frequent, but effective treatment is not. Malabsorptive bariatric surgery techniques are effective for weight loss in hypothalamic dysfunction.
